For the second year, Big Thought hosted the Thriving Minds Career Connections Camp for Dallas ISD students in grades 6-8. Participants had the opportunity to explore potential career paths through hands-on activities at more than a dozen organizations in Dallas and Fort Worth.

February was filled with excitement and a host of invaluable experiences as The Twelve learned about the qualities of being a leader and the importance of good leadership. There are several definitions and opinions about what it takes to become a leader; but the one that I have always embraced states that “a leader is one who understands the importance of helping another to improve.”

We, at The Turner 12, love love. We love the kids that we help. We love what we get to do for them. And we love you for helping us do it.

Tonine earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies on Saturday, December 17th at The University of North Texas, Denton.
